The GOODS from Vancouver Community College
Vancouver, BC | Flourish, VCC Foundation’s fourth annual fundraiser for scholarships and bursaries at Vancouver Community College (VCC) will be held on Wednesday, February 5 at VCC’s Broadway campus. “An alumni showcase like Flourish is a uniquely-VCC way to continue building support for future students who need and appreciate your assistance. By attending, you join us in helping to make a difference.” says Ken Cretney, VCC Foundation’s Board Chair.
Guests will savour culinary delights from the Hawksworth Group, Poyan Danesh (Ocean Mama Seafood), Justin Cheung (Longtail Kitchen), Alan Ferrer (Aburi Restaurants), Jay Pugong (Minami), Heat LaLiberte (One Arrow Meats), Shahni Arshad (ÉPHÉMÈRE Supper Club), Rachel Whiting (Medina Café), Tret Jordan, talented VCC faculty chefs like Hamid Salimian (Popina) and Certified Master Chef Tobias MacDonald, plus many more. They’ll also sample from 10 wine-tasting stations provided by the Naramata Bench Wineries Association while enjoying an alumni band, fashion elements, a silent auction, and much more.
Being the largest culinary school in Western Canada and voted the #1 Professional Culinary School in Georgia Straight’s “Best Of” for the past five years running, means attendees know the food will be delicious. The green-tie theme epitomizes the fun personality that sets VCC apart from other post-secondary institutions. Flourish promises to have something for everyone – be it food, wine, music, or fashion.
