At Vancouver Community College (VCC), learning is our strength and community is our passion.
As B.C.’s largest and oldest community college, VCC has been inspiring students to reach their career and educational goals for over 55 years. We offer post-secondary training in over 140 programs including bachelor’s degrees, diplomas, certificates, micro-credentials, and apprenticeships. With two campuses located Downtown and in East Vancouver, students receive hands-on instruction in culinary arts, business, design, health sciences, hospitality management, transportation trades, music, and more. VCC also offers programs in continuing studies, academic upgrading, and language instruction for newcomers to Canada.
On-campus facilities include numerous restaurants, automotive shops, design studios, dental clinic, and a salon and spa that provide real-world training to students and lower-cost services to the community. VCC’s trades students are also frequently top performers in provincial, national, and international skills competitions.
Alongside award-winning, experiential learning and cutting-edge technology, VCC’s 15,000 students benefit from the college’s strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, accessibility, Indigenous reconciliation, and longstanding connections with local employers and community organizations. When VCC students graduate, they are job-ready, in-demand and ready to serve the community.
We are home to some of Canada’s most highly respected culinary training programs, led by experienced, award-winning chefs. Our students and graduates win major competitions, in Canada and abroad. Fully recognized by SkilledTradesBC, students earn apprenticeship qualifications in addition to a VCC credential.
Bakers are made at VCC. Our baking and pastry programs mix theoretical baking principles with practical learning to ensure students are highly skilled. It is this winning combination, along with a dedicated faculty and a student-supplied bakeshop and market that make our graduates sought after by the baking industry.
VCC works closely with industry to deliver quality, relevant programs that produce graduates who are ready for the workforce. Designed to provide the Hospitality Industry with future management personnel, VCC’s micro-credential, diploma, and degree programs combine hands-on practical experience with academic courses.
