ABOUT STEEL & OAK BREWING CO.

Steel & Oak Brewing Co. embraces the modernness of today while remaining dedicated to the craftsmanship of years long past. Steel and oak are materials of strength and durability. They house, protect and nurture what we stand for most – exceptional tasting craft beer.

Opening in 2014, Steel & Oak calls New Westminster home. Our brewery and Tap Room are located along the Fraser River at the end of the Westminster Quay Boardwalk, meaning that you can enjoy some fresh air as you walk from New West Skytrain Station to our Tap Room door. You can now also enjoy that fresh air on one of our three outdoor spaces, including two patios and one garden bar.

Our obsession with beer is almost rivalled by our passion for vinyl. We listen to music the old-fashioned way, relishing the pauses and silence as a record is flipped.

Food trucks frequently park outside for evening and weekend dinner service and we have a rotating food menu available 7 days a week.

On tap, you’ll find German inspired classics and new North American creations, always unpasteurized, unfiltered, and made with the finest ingredients. Available all year long are our Royal City Ale, Red Pilsner, Dark Lager, Shiny Things Hazy IPA and Simple Things Pilsner. Popular seasonal hits include our First Press Cold Brew Coffee Stout, Towers And Trains Earl Grey IPA, and our Easy series of Low Alc beers. Beer cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages are always available as well.

If you can’t make it to New West, though we recommend that you do, you can find our beers throughout BC.
