About Bacchus
Family-owned and operated since 1984, the award-winning Bacchus Restaurant is located inside Vancouver’s only Relais & Châteaux property Wedgewood Hotel & Spa. Led by Managing Director Elpie Marinakis, Bacchus continues to exude old world charm and modern elegance with beautiful artwork, tapestry, and exceptional service. Named after the Roman wine god Bacchus, guests enjoy creations by executive chef Montgomery Lau featuring regional ingredients and global flavours with a distinct European flair, all while listening to live piano music in the dining room. Example dishes include the Wedgewood Waldorf Salad, Foie Gras Torchon, Yarrow Meadows Duck with Crispy Duck Confit, Slow Roasted ½ Rack of Australian Lamb, and Butternut Squash Risotto with Mascarpone.
The wine list is curated by Bacchus’ Sommeliers and features wines from classic areas around the world, such as France and Italy, in addition to local favourites from the Okanagan.
The celebrated and sumptuous lounge is a local favourite for cocktail hour and nightcaps. Take a seat at the bar and order a shaken martini or creative cocktail. Or, dine by the cosy fireplace during the day, breakfast or lunch. Reservations are recommended but walk-ins welcome. Bacchus is a hideaway from the bustling sidewalks of downtown Vancouver.
