About Four Winds Brewing Company

Four Winds joined the burgeoning BC craft beer scene and opened our doors to a public thirsty for new local offerings on June 1, 2013. Our journey began with a shared passion for craft beer, community, and the spirit of entrepreneurial independence. Founded and operated by the Mills family and friends, our brewery embodies a dedication to constant evolution, innovation, and quality craftsmanship. This commitment to excellence has been the driving force, propelling us forward as we embark on our newest venture, the eagerly anticipated Four Winds Beach House & Brewery, slated to open its doors in the summer of 2024 in the Tsawwassen Southlands. While our River Road Taproom focuses on serving unique tacos and Mexican-inspired dishes, the Beach House will set sail with a menu inspired by the flavors of the West Coast, celebrating the abundance of fresh, local ingredients unique to the region. This exciting expansion will not only introduce a new dimension to our offerings, but also deepen our connection to the community and further our exploration into the dynamic world of hospitality.

Awards & Accolades

“There are a lot of good breweries in British Columbia and a handful of great ones, but only a very rare few occupy the highest echelon where Four Winds resides. After opening in 2013, this family-run brewery quickly made a name for itself, both because of the quality of its beers as well as the company’s consistently classy and eye-catching branding.” – Joe Wiebe, Growler Magazine

“A couple of cans of beer paired beautifully with their famous tacos… It’s a worthwhile place to quench your thirst and appetite all at once. Besides, it’s an opportunity to see what special seasonal beers are available for taking away. Brent Mills has one of the very best barrel programs in the country” – Brian K. Smith, What’s Brewing Magazine

“The brewery is an oasis, bustling with beer-goers on a Sunday afternoon. The vibe in the tasting room is fantastic. The decor is classy but not presumptuous. Antique-style lights on rope fixtures hang over a beautiful wrap-around bar. Four Winds merch and glassware is present on shelves throughout. A colorful portrait on the wall keeps a watchful eye. Vinyl sets the mood, with a piano on standby in case someone feels the urge to dabble. It is the perfect setting to relax and enjoy good beer and company.” – Chris Dinsdale, Van Pours

“The bold branding and impeccable beers make Four Winds one of the more admirable outfits in the province. The brewery’s Zephyrus series, named after the Greek god of the west wind, produced two of the more successful brews in B.C. history: Juxtapose, a wild IPA, and Nectarous, the brewery’s renowned sour.” – Nathan Caddell, Vancouver Magazine

“Four Winds brews beers of all styles well, but is particularly well regarded for its hoppy IPAs, sour beers, and barrel-aged specialties… That’s why you’ll always find a crowd sipping beers and sampling tacos made on-site at the brewery’s stylish and comfortable tasting room.” – Staff Writer, BC Ale Trail

“Four Winds has been beloved in the community since their launch, offering Deltans a local spot for craft beers and small bites – including some killer tacos. Their beers consistently take honours in the industry.” – Ian Jacques, Vancouver Is Awesome

“(on Hüftgold) This isn’t some insipid, shapeless mass-market watery sports drink masquerading as beer. This is lager as it was intended: clean, dry, subtlety flavourful and utterly without fault. It is uncompromising in its quality and exceptional in its balance.” – Rob Mangelsdorf, Growler Magazine

“As always, FW’s expertly brewed ales are full of crisp and refreshing flavours. Their tacos are substantially meaty with a nice crunch.” – Rick Chung, rickchung.com

“They have really good beer. The staff is super friendly and the kitchen is amazing. The tacos are some of the best I have had outside of Mexico. It’s kinda far from my house and I still try to get there as often as I can. 5/5 Stars” – Shawn Greabeiel – Local Guide, Google Reviews

“Had a lovely time at Four Winds. The beers were great (we had flights and left with some cans) and the atmosphere was cosy, but what really stood out was the service. Everyone working was kind, friendly, and attentive. We genuinely had fun sitting at the bar while we were there. Thanks for a good time and great beer – we will be back! 5/5 stars” – Sam Grace – Local Guide, Google Reviews

“Great food! Really nice staff! And of course the beer is nummy. They have a pet friendly patio. Kids are welcome. And it’s a great stop for cyclists!!! Love this place. 5/5 stars” – Jaime Davies – Local Guide, Google Reviews

“I love this place and always make the time to stop whenever I work out that way. Tacos, patio, and really really good non-alcoholic options. 5/5 Stars” – Jordan Eunson – Local Guide, Google Reviews

“Very attentive and friendly service. The beers were exceptional (seriously, AMAZING job on the pink kush) and I LOVED the bean tostada. Very good price point for the snacks and I was happy to have a veggie/ gluten free option too. I was surprised at home welcoming the small space is – kinda feels like hanging out at a friends place. Can’t wait to return. Thank you! 5/5 Stars” – Daran Gray-Scholz – Local Guide, Google Reviews
