About Bocuse d’Or Team Canada | Le Bocuse d’Or was founded in 1987 by legendary French chefs, Paul Bocuse & Albert Romain. Their mission was to create a competition that would bring the greatest chefs out from behind closed doors and onto the world stage. Team Canada placed 2nd at the continental finals in Mexico City and qualified for the 2019 finals in Lyon when Waterloo-born front-runner Chef Trevor Ritchie and his team wowed the panel of Michelin star judges, winning silver and a coveted golden ticket to the World Cup of Cookery talents. Team Canada is now moving on to represent their country in a battle against 23 other contenders – our goal is to be on the podium. Assisted by his commis and supervised by his coach, Chef Trevor will have 5.5 hours to prepare one meat platter and one fish plate of 14 portions. Visit www.bocusedorcanada.ca for more information.
