Vancouver, BC | The Mackenzie Room is expanding the team! We are looking to grow both our kitchen and front of house teams as we head into a busy spring/summer! We are a contemporary farm to table restaurant under the direction of Chef Sean Reeve. We offer a chalk board menu served family-style, that changes through the seasons.
Looking for: Chef de Partie – an applicant should have a positive attitude, an interest in personal growth and development with clear goals, be well trained (with formal culinary training being an asset), and be able to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
Further attributes include:
– Food Safe certification
– Self-motivation and organizational skills
– Work efficiently under pressure
– Available to work a variety of shifts across 7-days a week
– Previous work experience preferred
As a member of our back of house team your job would include opening and closing a station, inventory and par level management, ensuring a consistent high quality product, and prep duties.
For the front of house, we are looking for an experienced server with bartending experience, and a flexible schedule across 7 nights a week. Our team believes in many hands make light work and we are all trained across the various stations required to run service. Self-motivated, organized, able to work high-volume, and personable are key attributes for an applicant. We enjoy a very low turnover and are looking for a team member who would like to grow with our restaurant.
