Much & Little focuses on well-made products with a story. Owner Sarah Savoy handpicks each emergent designer with an eye on aesthetics and function, and attention to detail and craft. Where was it made, how and by whom? Labels you will find here include Women Wear Daily’s “designer to watch” Lauren Moffatt from New York with her new line Pepin. Pepin features artisanal clothing with intricate bead-work and hand embroidery, moving away from the trend of today’s disposable fashion, with a collection bound to become timeless pieces.

You will covet Beek’s leather sandals (with arch support) that only get better with age. Handmade by Mexican artisans, that feature 100% leather components, these sandals will last a decade or two. Better yet, for every pair of sandals sold, Beek donates a meal to a child in need. The newly launched line was featured in Vanity Fair last month.

Another key collection that delivers wearable pieces with an easy flowing summer look is Los Angeles’s Black Crane. Focusing on a silhouette that complements supple lines and delivers comfort, this collection is minimal and edgy. Says Savoy, “Black Crane flies off the shelves almost before it arrives, anticipation runs high amongst my clients when a new shipment is coming”.

About Much & Little

Much&Little opened its doors in October 2011. It grew from a desire to create a personal shopping experience that offers timeless, beautiful, well-made goods for everyday use. Each item has been hand picked not just for aesthetics and function, but also for the story behind it that creates lasting value. Where was it made, how and by whom? As much as possible, we seek out products that have been created with love and care, with attention to detail and craft.

Though the shop is modest in size, the selection is wide and encompasses everything from housewares, to personal accessories, to women’s clothing. Our goods come from all over – including local, independent designers, heritage brands and fair trade artisans.

For you, we hope this translates into something of value. Where items are of heirloom quality and timeless appeal. Where a seemingly humble object will be something you love to pick up and use each day, and the patina of use just makes it better.
