Spring Pie-Making Workshop Coming Up at The Pie Shoppe

The GOODS from The Pie Shoppe

Vancouver, BC | Come join us Wednesday, May 23rd, for an evening of pie baking! Together we’ll chat about spring fruit, sugars, starches, perfecting flaky crust, and make a seasonal fruit pie from our menu at a time when the markets are just beginning to bursting at the seems. We’ll be working with locally grown organic fruit and locally milled West Coast grain. We will be using the local fresh fruit and preparing all the fillings from scratch for our pies. While the pies are baking, we will have some snacks and drinks. Nibbles & drinks included!

This workshop is perfect for preparing dessert pie for the anticipated spring season. You will also learn about making a good pastry dough, crumbles and custards for pie making and pastry techniques. Everyone will walk away with a whole pie they have made, tips, and maybe a few new friends.
