Vancouver, BC | Fraserhood hangout Bells and Whistles is getting into the spirit of the season this December by adding a new slate of Christmas-themed flicks to its ongoing series of Sunday Night Movies and ringing in 2020 with another edition of its sold-out ‘The Ball Drop’ New Year’s Eve bash.

SUNDAY NIGHT MOVIE SERIES

Christmas takes over the big screen for the latest round of Bells and Whistles’ Sunday Night Movie Series, which begins this Sunday, December 1 with the timeless 1988 Christmas classic Die Hard, as Bruce Willis’ Santa tries to thwart Hans Gruber’s Grinch. The ho-ho-holiday movie festivities continue throughout the month, with screenings of Planes, Trains and Automobiles on December 8, Home Alone on December 15 and Elf on December 22.

Fans can grab a front-row seat to the shows every Sunday night at 9 p.m. and enjoy free popcorn as well as Happy Hour specials from 10 p.m. to close that include $7 Negronis or glasses of Bench 1775 Pinot Gris or Lock & Worth Merlot as well as Classic Hot Dogs for $5 and Chili Cheese or Chicago Dogs for $7.

‘THE BALL DROP’ NEW YEAR’S EVE BASH

Old school hip-hop and craft-beer fans alike can get their fix and pop-and-lock their way into 2020 when Bells and Whistles brings back its sold-out ‘The Ball Drop’ New Year’s Eve bash on Tuesday, December 31. Tickets to the event, which goes from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., are available for $20 in advance with a limited amount available at the door for $25 the night of and include party favours, live DJs and glasses of bubbly for the midnight toast.

Happy Hour specials will also be featured from 10 p.m. until close that include $5.50 pours of all craft beer, including Bells and Whistles’ new core lineup of local brews like Bridge Brewing’s ‘Wunderbar’ Kolsch, Strange Fellows’ ‘Talisman’ Pale Ale, Twin Sails’ ‘Con Leche’ Milk Stout, Parkside’s ‘Dreamboat’ Hazy IPA, and more.

TICKETS | Tickets to Bells and Whistles’ ‘The Ball Drop’ New Year’s Eve bash on Tuesday, December 31 are available for $20 per person in advance at bellsandwhistlesyvr.ca/new-years-eve. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door on the night of the event for $25 per person.
