Whether a cozy dinner with family and friends, full-fledged corporate buyout or romantic New Year’s Eve for two, guests will find a warm welcome at this award-winning Main Street eatery.

The best holiday feasts bring loved ones together around delicious dishes that leave tummies feeling as jolly as Old Saint Nick. Burdock & Co’s ever-evolving menu showcases the freshest ingredients available, served family-style so everyone at the table can sample each delicious bite. Largely veggie-focused, the menu delivers hearty and nourishing fare crafted with in-season produce as well as ethically raised meats, sustainable seafood and fresh dairy. Diners will find a perfectly paired naturalist wine to complement each dish thanks to a curated list overseen by Sommelier Claire Saksun, who has worked extensively with low-intervention wines and takes genuine pleasure in sharing her knowledge with guests.

Hungry revellers will find opportunities to sample Burdock & Co’s decadent menu all season long, including Christmas Eve. Locals and visitors can also catch-up over the restaurant’s ever-popular weekend brunch, recognized as the best in the city by Vancouver Magazine. The hearty morning menu is perfect for warming up on cold winter mornings, fuelling up before a day of holiday shopping, or staying energized as New Year’s Eve preparations begin.

Joyously, Burdock & Co is pulling out all the stops for New Year’s Eve. As the clock ticks down to midnight on December 31, the restaurant will host two seatings catering to early birds and late-night partiers. Those with midnight plans can opt for the ‘New Year’s Lite’ experience, beginning at 6:00pm. Here, guests can mix and mingle before sitting down to an edited multi-course menu, leaving plenty of time to head off to the next shindig. Those committed to a large New Year’s Eve culinary journey are encouraged to book the second seating at 8:30pm, which features a dazzling array of dishes (naturalist wine pairings available for an additional cost), as well as a comprehensive wine, beer and cocktail list featured throughout the night. The first seating costs $69 per person, plus tax and gratuity; the second seating costs $99 per person, plus tax and gratuity. The holidays wouldn’t be complete without lively group fêtes, and event organizers seeking a special experience without hassle will breathe a sigh of relief when booking at Burdock & Co. The dining area can accommodate up to 34 guests for intimate multi-course dinners or cocktail receptions; buyouts or half buyouts are welcome. Those particularly keen on wine pairings or interactive elements to enhance the feast are encouraged to “Rent a Somm”, which involves Claire Saksun leading an educational session for all guests with plenty of naturalist wine tastings along the way.
