Vancouver, BC | The city’s best berry pie baker is set to be crowned this week as part of Vancouver Farmers Markets (VFM) 7th Annual Berry Festival, which started Wednesday at Main Street Station Market and continues Sunday at Mount Pleasant Market.
This family friendly event will feature a BC Berry Pie Bake Off, inviting all comers both pro and amateur to enter their favourite berry pie for a chance to win great prizes. Judging takes place Sunday at Mount Pleasant Market, where shoppers will have a chance to sample the different entries by donation.
Other highlights include free tastings of farm-fresh berries from a range of local producers, special edition recipes and storage tips, and of course, plenty of berries and berry-inspired offerings from VFM vendors.
