Monique grew up moving all over Canada and the US, before immersing herself in English Lit in the beautiful California college town of San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly, SLO). Soon after she traveled to Argentina to spend the following four years writing about the many living rooms turned makeshift concert venues of Buenos Aires. She feels most at home jumping into bodies of water, dipping pastries into her coffee cups, and promoting the work of local creatives and activists wherever she can.
