    About Ama

Where the lines between reality and fantasy blur.

AMA is a Japanese-style speakeasy hidden above the streets of Vancouver’s burgeoning Fraserhood. Discreetly marked only by a glowing sign after dark, it guides guests upstairs into an ethereal space inspired by Blade Runner 2049. Both the cocktail and culinary menus pay tribute to AMA’s namesake — Japan’s revered sea women divers — who have braved the depths for centuries in search of the ocean’s rarest treasures.

    Favourable Reviews & Accolades

“Sensual, nostalgic and a little disorienting – that’s precisely what stepping into Ama, a newly opened cocktail lounge and raw bar in Vancouver, feels like.” – Wallpaper

“Whether it be the bars, wine wall, waiting area, or even the coat check, the entire spaces were created with seamless style integration and immersing guests in a futuristic fantasy.” – Hypebeast
