About Nero Tondo
Nero Tondo is a small, passionate restaurant committed to showcasing the best that British Columbia has to offer. From our carefully curated selection of wines, spirits, beer and cider, to the food on your plate, everything we serve is sourced locally—from the farm, forest, and sea.
The name Nero Tondo comes from a bold, spicy black radish that mellows when cooked. Chefs/Co-owners Devon Latte and Lucas Johnston -both alums of The Acorn, with pop-ups at Bar Tartare on their resumes – bring a creative, fun, and thoughtful “full-use” approach to local ingredients. Think root-to-shoot cooking, where nothing goes to waste, and preserved syrups, salts, and ferments ensure BC’s finest produce stays on the table year-round.
We believe great food starts with great ingredients. That’s why we partner with the best local organic farmers and producers who share our passion for quality, sustainability, and community. Every dish on our menu is crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from the hardworking hands that cultivate them right here in our region.
