About Niwa

Located in the forenamed Port Town, on the corner of Powell St and Victoria, at NIWA, we focus on creating a genuine dining experience by highlighting the best local ingredients. Our farm-to-table approach ensures that every dish is made using fresh, seasonal produce sourced from nearby farms.

Dine a la carte, or leave it up to us by choosing our five-course Omakase menu served between the table and highlighting freshness and flavour balance. Entrust Chef Darren Gee and the service team to guide you through meticulously crafted dishes, showcasing local, seasonal ingredients, fine butchery with his signature style.

All of our wines and sake come with a story and purpose. We have a small but complete selection that reflect things that we love to drink with food that Darren loves to cook. Elegant cocktails, fine whiskies and cold beer are also available.
