About Angela Pastificio
Angela Pastifio is an intimate, 20-seat pasta tasting menu restaurant, rooted in Italian tradition and built entirely around handmade fresh pasta.
Located at 1869 Powell Street, Angela Pastificio is the solo debut of Chef Calvin Vogstad. Alongside co-chef Nolan Bayliss, Vogstad brings authentic Northern Italian cooking to a growing neighbourhood restaurant hub. The small, dinner-only space blends warmth with modern aesthetics, while a concise menu centres on an eight-course pasta tasting menu — a thoughtful progression of antipasti, five handmade pastas, and dolce.
At its heart, Angela is a tribute—to a grandmother’s warmth, to the intimacy of a shared meal, to the artistry of handmade pasta. A pastificio in spirit and in practice. A place to gather, to taste, to remember.
