Chez Christophe Unveils 2019 Easter Collection

Burnaby, BC | Christophe Bonzon and his creative team at Chez Christophe Chocolaterie Patisserie (4717 Hastings Street) in Burnaby have launched their 2019 Easter Collection. Four new chocolate showpiece designs celebrate Easter with a farmhouse theme. Little Yolk features a Limited Edition elderflower and rhubarb truffle “yolk” hidden inside, bonbon available exclusively with the showpiece ($14.95). Gigi the Farmhouse Hen has taken up residence at the shop, created in hollow milk chocolate ($28.95). Together is Better echoes “birds of a feather flock together” in this elegant poetic showstopper containing a trio of feathers and eggs nestled together, made entirely from milk and Zephyr caramelised white chocolate ($29.95). The contemporary abstract Signature Egg is comprised of hollow dark chocolate decorated with Chez Christophe’s signature colours, cohesive of their rebranding. Three award-winning chocolates are hidden inside consisting of Mango, Pineapple Avocado, and The BC in addition to the best-selling Salted Caramel ($39.95).

“This Easter, we really wanted to celebrate elegant shapes and lines in our collection while honouring the traditional Easter theme of bunnies and hens,” says Christophe Bonzon, owner and head pastry chef of Chez Christophe.

Chez Christophe will also launch two new Limited Edition cakes. Plume is a celebration of Spring flavours featuring vanilla monte, strawberry lemon confit and rhubarb gel in a choux pastry eclair ($6.45 each). Lapin features carrot cake, raspberry confit, dark chocolate cream cheese mousse, on a base of hazelnut crumble ($6.45 each). Other Easter treats include realistic hand painted hollow mini hens made of milk chocolate ($3.95 each) and Bunny Lollipops created in Blanc Caramel chocolate ($3.65 each). All showpieces and chocolate items are available, with desserts launching on Tuesday, 9th April, 2019. Pre-orders are welcome.
