About Greenhorn Espresso Bar

14146217439_e34805b9a6_k
Greenhorn espresso bar is nestled in the heart of the west end on a beautiful residential street. The character building at 994 Nicola Street has been transformed into a gorgeous and welcoming space devoted to great coffee (by local roaster Moja), pastries, fair trade locally made chocolates and a delicious menu of lunch and brunch items made in house. Stroll upstairs to the art gallery and ‘soon to be’ record corner with a cortado in hand. With a small outdoor patio, large windows that open onto a quiet tree-lined street, Greenhorn is a great place to hang out and enjoy the view and to spend social time with friends and family. The interior is a mix of old world charm and ‘portland cool’ that is sure to win you over and call you back for more.

“We’ve been waiting for 15 years for this to open up in the neighbourhood.” – Vancouver Courier.

“Elbow in for a window seat or a spot at the communal table – takeout seems uncalled for – and grab a weekend brunch of shakshuka baked eggs with olives and almonds, or the Spanish-style tortilla layered with soft potatoes and topped with sweet salsa fresca. But the real star is the coffee – from local roaster Moja, it’s beautifully prepared, naturally caramel-sweet, and good enough to want to pull up to the bar for a doppio and spend a lazy morning perched between a dad on a stroll with his four year old and a pair of lycra clad cyclists dissecting the days’ group ride” – Vancouver Magazine
