BAR SUPERVISOR
Position: Bar Supervisor, Thierry
Reports to: General Manager, Thierry
A premium chocolaterie patisserie cafe, voted “Best Desserts” and “Best Pastries” in Vancouver, Thierry offers a contemporary approach to the finest handcrafted chocolates, macarons, pastries, and desserts. With a team of 28 service-oriented colleagues from the front of house (FOH) to the award-winning kitchen brigade, Thierry Cafe is a quintessential taste of Paris in the heart of Vancouver.
We are currently hiring a full time Bar Supervisor. If you’re friendly, outgoing, organized, have sales and/or customer service experience in a similar capacity, and a flexible schedule (with early morning, weekend and holiday shifts), this is the perfect role for you. Group medical plan is offered after 6 months of continuous employment.
You will be responsible for:
Training of new staff
Placing orders for the bar such as coffee, tea, liquor, and syrups
Monthly inventory control
Entering invoice orders (knowledge of Optimum Control a plus)
Creating and updating seasonal drink menu
Coffee knowledge (liquor knowledge is also very helpful)
Opening and closing
Serving It Right certification
Duties will include:
Making beverages for customers
Assisting customers with orders in person, over the phone or via email
Providing product knowledge to customers
Bussing tables
Handling cash
Packaging products

Qualifications:
Minimum two years of relevant coffee shop, bistro and/or customer service experience.
Great communication skills.
