Vancouver, BC | Located in downtown Vancouver, Neate Donuts announces an exciting opportunity to join the brand new concept by JJ Bean Coffee Roasters.

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Overnight Donut Production Assistant Manager to help lead our donut production team and support the daily operations of a busy bakery environment. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and confident leading a team while maintaining high standards for product quality and workplace efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of bakery team members
Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to staff to encourage accountability, teamwork, and growth
Work alongside the team on the floor each day, leading by example and actively participating in production
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock organization
Maintain product quality standards and ensure consistency across all fried goods
Lead staff meetings and communicate operational updates, priorities, and expectations
Uphold food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times
Administrative duties including scheduling, payroll, and operational record keeping
Help maintain a clean, organized, and positive work environment

Qualifications:

Previous leadership experience in a bakery, café, or food production environment is an asset
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Comfortable leading by example and supporting a collaborative team culture
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and consistency
Have completed a Baking and Pastry program
Are familiar with commercial bakery equipment
Proficient in making dough and various fillings (pastry cream, fruit fillings, etc)
Enjoy a busy, physically active work environment
Have a positive, solutions oriented attitude
Can communicate effectively in the English language
Love to learn new things and are open to feedback
Able to stand for 8 hours per day
Able able to lift up to 25kg
Available to work weekends
Available to cover day shifts 6 am – 2 pm as needed
