‘The Fat Badger’ On The Hunt For FT/PT Line Cooks & Prep Cooks

Mini-Yorkshire-puddings

The GOODS from The Fat Badger

Vancouver, BC | The Fat Badger is a British style Gastropub making restaurant quality food. We have a blackboard menu that changes daily which allows us to cook with the seasons and focus on quality produce, meats and seafood that are on offer from our farmers, butchers, fisherman and foragers. We cook from scratch and do a lot of butchery in house.

We are looking for line cooks and prep cooks both full and part time to complete our team. Candidates must be passionate about cooking, hard working and be willing to learn.

Previous experience for at least a year in a good, solid restaurant/hotel is preferred for the line cook positions. For the prep cook positions we will take a look at anyone who’s willing to learn and take their first step into a professional kitchen. This position would be great for a recently graduated culinary student.

We offer a competitive wage plus tips and a great working environment where you can learn how to really cook and become a chef.

If interested, please respond with a cover letter and a copy of your resume to neil [at] fatbadger.ca. We value the interest of all applicants, but only suitable candidates will be contacted.

About The Fat Badger

Mini-Yorkshire-puddings

Here at this little red house, built in 1903, on Alberni street, we have tried to open a space reminiscent of the old pubs, in and around London, that we used to frequent as young adults.

Completely unpretentious, full of people of all ages, talking about nothing and everything, and not watching tv.

Drinking tasty beers and eating delicious food all made in house using the best local ingredients. Our food menu changes daily, depending on what we get in from the local farms and what’s in season, so you can always try something new

Currently we are open from 5pm until 11pm for dinner, seven days a week and 11am until 3pm on the weekend for brunch. We hope to be open for lunch sometime in the near future.
