The GOODS from The Red Wagon
Vancouver, BC | One of Vancouver’s most beloved restaurants is closing for the month of April to undergo renovations. The Red Wagon restaurant will be open for one last lunch service on March 29, 2016 before closing for approximately four weeks.
Brad Miller opened the doors to The Red Wagon in 2010 and it quickly became a favourite dining spot of the residents of Hastings Sunrise and Grandview Woodlands. This neighbourhood eatery gained national notoriety after being featured on the Food Network’s popular television series Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Now a destination for both locals and travellers alike, The Red Wagon is always hopping.
The Red Wagon is staying true to its diner roots keeping much of the original room design intact. While most of the upgrades will take place behind the scenes, guests can anticipate some banquet seating and updated lighting. The diner will also see fresh paint and a few surprise details.
The food menu will receive a slight makeover but fans will be relieved to know that signature dishes on the all-day breakfast menu aren’t going anywhere. The majority of changes will be happening at night. In addition to a new more comfortable bar, ideal for sipping cocktails, the dinner menu will be more comprehensive with additional classic diner dishes.
The Red Wagon is scheduled to reopen the first week of May. Devoted fans can follow the progress of the renovations on Instagram: @redwagoncafe.
