Field House Brewing Launches Edition #01 of New ‘Farmland Series’

The GOODS from Field House Brewing

Abbotsford, BC | Introducing THE FARMLAND SERIES featuring Field House Farms Barley, grown and harvested on under-utilized farmland in the Fraser Valley. That’s right, last year we grew 5 acres of Barley and this is our first beer with it (we’re pretty excited).

FIELD PILSNER, Edition #01 of our Farmland Series

A product of our passion to create beers that reflect our local community, this Pilsner features Field House Farms barley, grown and harvested on underutilized farmland in the Fraser Valley.

We paired these local malts with the first ever patented Canadian hop, Sasquatch, grown right here in Abbotsford. This new variety provides a nice bitterness and when used lightly, contributes subtle notes of orange, tea and spice. A true Fraser Valley brew.

ABV 5.2% | IBU 20

Edition #02 will be a Hazy Field IPA // Coming soon

And there’s more…

We teamed up with Inmist Film Studios to create a short film about our farming journey so far. Last year we had farmland spread across three farms, growing the barley, herbs, flowers, and vegetables that were used in our beers and mostly our Canteen Kitchen. This year we have bought a farm and are combining it all onto one Field House Farm. The film aims to start a conversation with breweries, restaurants and local producers around the challenges and joys of local food. Here’s the trailer…

We are having an industry only film screening next week and will be planning some public screenings soon.
