The GOODS from Farmer’s Apprentice
Vancouver, BC | Chef Bardia Ilbeiggi of Farmer’s Apprentice restaurant is hosting a dinner series in collaboration with like-minded chefs in the city. His menus will revisit his childhood memories of food in Iran, while utilizing the techniques he has learned working in kitchens of Vancouver, Copenhagen and Paris.
For the first event he has teamed up with chef Dallah of Superbaba restaurant and food truck on Sunday March 3rd next door to Farmer’s Apprentice at Grapes and Soda. This will be a family-style, Middle Eastern affair and the menu will include: seasonal mezzes, roasted carrot salad with rose vinaigrette, Superbaba’s fresh pita, braised lamb shoulder in pomegranate and walnut sauce, crispy saffron rice and turmeric cookie and ice cream.

Kale borani
Marinated olives, labneh
Hummus
Squash “baba ganoush”
Superbaba’s pita
* Salad of bitter greens, rose vinaigrette, confit carrot puree, roasted carrots, fetta
* Charcoal grilled flatbread
* Lamb fesenjoon (braised in pomegranate molasses and walnut), parsley tahini
* Saffron and yogurt tahcheen
* Turmeric cookie, mastic ice-cream
A selection of beer, wine and Kombucha is available by the glass.
