How many times have you been impressed by a work of art, concept, designer, or creative event and discovered the footnote “…a graduate of Emily Carr” in association with it? Many times, right? That’s because Emily Carr University of Art and Design has a reputation for attracting, nurturing and releasing into the world a staggering amount of talent. This weekend brings with it the perfect opportunity to appreciate a cross section of that talent at the Alumni Art Market. It’s an annual gathering, show and sale of works made by ECUAD grads. Expect everything from elk hide drums, hand painted scarves, and linoblock prints to collages, paintings, and ceramics. The really nice part? You get to hang around and chat with the artists. See you there!

October 17 + 18 | 11am to 4pm | Concourse Gallery, Emily Carr University | DETAILS

What to See at the 2024 Capture Photography Festival

Basta BBQ is Breaking the Barbecue Seal on Sunday, April 21st

Smell that? BBQ season is fast approaching, and the team behind Basta BBQ are primed to get grilling ASAP!

Since a single person (and liver) can only handle so many beers and beer-drinking celebrations, some prioritizing is in order. Topping off our list of events is the imminent (and, in our opinion, non-negotiable) Vancouver Brewers Fest.
