Royal Dinette Is Putting on a Big Gay Luau on August 2

The GOODS from Royal Dinette

Vancouver, BC |Royal Dinette (905 Dunsmuir Street) kicks off Pride on Thursday, August 2, 2018 with a Big Gay Luau. The celebratory evening features Hawaiian-style barbecue dishes and Tiki drinks by executive chef Eva Chin and bar director Kaitlyn Stewart – both of whom are members of the LGBTQ2 community.

“Both Eva and I really wanted to do something for Pride this year and put on a party at Royal Dinette,” says Stewart, who is set to pass on the Diageo World Class Global torch to the next winner in Berlin, Germany. “We’re showing some love with tiki drinks, Hawaiian barbecue dishes, and a whole lotta puns. So come down!”

Luau menu items include Hawaiian barbecue classics such as Maui Ribs, Poke Me Bowls, Huli Huli Chicken Wings and Haupia.

The tropical vibe is further enhanced with Stewart’s Tiki-influenced cocktail features. $3 from each Tiki drink will be donated to Qmunity, a queer, trans and two-spirit resource centre in Vancouver. Donations gladly accepted.

Reservations are recommended. Walk-ins welcome. Dinner begins at 5:30pm. For more information, please visit www.royaldinette.ca.
