CRAFT BEER ATLAS // Sip the Latest Operation to Occupy a Storied Powell Street Incubator

Scout’s alphabetical Craft Beer Atlas of Vancouver was designed to grow with our brewing scene, so from time to time – like right now – we add new entries.

Launched in the late summer of 2019, Slow Hand Beer Company is the latest operation to pull pints and brew beer out of the super cozy space at 1830 Powell Street, which in the past has served as an incubator for both Powell Brewery and Doan’s Craft Brewing. Run by co-owner Kurtis Sheldon and co-owner/brewer Chris Charron with Cicerone Jessica Petras helming the small tasting room, the Slow Hand beer story began with a namesake Pilsner, and these days includes a short roster of sessionable (aka low-alcohol) styles.

Fave brew to date: easy-drinking Table Beer (3.5% ABV).
