A Few Behind-the-Scenes Updates at Hy’s Steakhouse Vancouver

Vancouver, BC | From now through mid-February, we’ll be doing a small round of renovations at Hy’s Vancouver. The short version is simple. We are open, service continues as usual in the upstairs dining room.

Most of the work is happening in the main-floor kitchen, where we are making updates to improve efficiency and provide our team with a bit more room to move. We will also be giving some love to our heritage bar in the lounge and generally giving the space a little polish. The dining room, décor, and overall rhythm of the room remain the same.

Hy’s has always been about consistency and care, and that remains the same during these small changes. The white tablecloths, wood-panelled walls, and familiar portraits stay put. Caesar salads are still made tableside, steaks are still grilled to perfection, and our service team continues to provide the same care and professionalism.

Due to the space limitations, we will be able to server fewer guests, so reservations for important dates are encouraged. Also, the upper floor is accessible only by a long staircase.

We are open throughout this winter refresh while we make a few thoughtful improvements quietly in the background.
