Whistler’s “Camp” Is On The Hunt For Full & Part-Time Baristas

Whistler, BC | Camp Lifestyle and Coffee Co. is hiring one part-time weekend barista (to start immediately) and one full-time barista (to start in September). The part-time barista will work one 10 hour shift on Saturday and one 10 hour shift on Sunday for a total of 20 hours per week. The full-time barista will work a total of 30 – 40 hours per week starting in September. The full-time barista’s shifts will consist of both weekdays and weekends.

Camp is a hip, unique, privately owned retail store in the industrial heart of Whistler, with a modern espresso bar nestled inside. Baristas at Camp serve espresso-based drinks and pastries, and also work closely with the Manager and Owner on product receiving and merchandising throughout the day. Camp is a fun and engaging professional environment to work in. Baristas have the opportunity to interact with both Whistler locals and tourists.

Anyone with a creative background and/or interest in design is strongly encouraged to apply! In the past, our baristas have contributed to Camp through commission work in social media, photography, web design, product development, and graphic design. If you have a specific skill set you think would benefit us, please mention it in your application and we will take it into consideration.

A modern lifestyle store for the sustainable and responsible camper. Camp Collective sells a broad range of specialty goods designed, sourced and crafted in North America. Items include clothing, tents, magazines, furniture, ceramics, jewellery, sound systems, body products, beer growlers, watches, pillows, chocolate, canoe paddles and much more.

Camp Espresso Bar serves 49th Parallel coffee, Namaste tea, Frost Bites Sodas, Lucia Gelato and local daily baked treats. These can be enjoyed by the bar, at the community table or out back in the leafy the campsite by the water feature or around the fire pit.

Camp Lifestyle is also home to Cabin Fever Interiors and Terracraft Landscapes, the owners and designers of the store. Both companies offer full design and project management services for residential and commercial work in Whistler and Vancouver areas.

In creating the store our intention was to support local talent as well as designers that give back to society and keep their environmental footprint as small as possible.

Labels we carry include Sitka, Fig, Dear Pony, Blackbird and Vital clothing, Nicole Terasick fabric prints, Andrea Wong and Flight Path leather goods, House of Marley audio equipment, Happy Spritz lotions, Woodlot and Salt Spring Island Candles, Another Escape, Alpine Modern, Boneshaker, Trouve, Kinfolk and Gray magazines, Bohten eyeware, Tense watches, Dot and Lil scents, Swell Bottles, Mth Woodwork pieces, Portland Growlers, Loyalloot handcrafted bowls, Dani Press stationary and many more.
