The Goods from Banda Volpi

Vancouver, BC | Pepino’s Spaghetti House and Caffè La Tana has a new general manager at its helm — Madelaine Brown! With a hospitality career that has spanned a diverse collection of Vancouver’s favorite independent restaurants and bars, Brown is no stranger to Banda Volpi’s group of restaurants. She most recently dedicated three years to Savio Volpe’s continued growth, from the pandemic era patio to today’s fully packed services. As AGM at Savio, she helped develop and maintain the front of house team, guiding them in operational efficiency and community focused hospitality. In addition to the many local accolades, her team has placed on Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants list and gained Michelin Guide recommendations.

At Pepino’s Spaghetti House and Caffè La Tana, Brown hopes to continue her passion for food, culture, and further elevating the Mouse guest experience.

On her favourite Pepino’s dish, Brown explains, “We all love Pepino’s for the pizza and pasta, but I have a real soft spot for an unsung hero on the menu – The arugula salad! How much better is that truffle alfredo going to taste after a bright, acidic palate cleanser? It’s an essential add on to all my Pepino’s meals, it brightens everything up and elevates all the dishes that follow.”
