Southsiders

Southsiders | Sports, Group | A loose organisation of passionate, Anglo-imitative fans “supporters” emotionally invested in the annual ups and downs of the Whitecaps, Vancouver’s professional (MLS) soccer team. Their pre-game and in-game antics are highly reminiscent of the loud, fat-macho, tribal hooliganism of England versus continental Europe but with none of the associated racism, violence, and crazed public drunkenness. [Image]

AKA, The Neckbeard Dad’s Choir.

Usage | “I kinda wish Canucks fans were more like the Southsiders…”
