Treebeard | Nickname | Treebeard is the name we’ve given to the elderly fellow who for years has been a silent, sphinx-like fixture on the patio at Trees Coffee on Granville Street. On account of his big white beard he is also sometimes (understandably) referred to as “Granville Street Santa.”

Usage: “There are few certainties in Vancouver, but rain and Treebeard are among them…”
