These blurry cell phone shots were taken close to home well before the sun came up this morning. Perhaps on account of its relative scarcity in Vancouver, snow is appreciated here in ways that escape most other Canadian cities. We would probably begrudge it if it stuck around longer than a couple of days, and we might not be able to competently function with confidence in the stuff, but it is exactly that forbidding/ephemeral combination that makes it so special to us. It’s what convinced us that a long, pre-dawn walk in the neighbourhood was a great idea. Because you never know…it might all be gone by first light. (Pity about the umbrella fight, though.)
When the hell are you people going to learn to at least try to hold the camera straight?
