Vancouver, BC | Railtown Cafe is taking it to the streets again this summer when the counter-service hotspot continues its wildly popular al-fresco-style Tailgate Barbecue Series on select Saturdays in the heart of Vancouver’s historic Railtown District.

Kicking off May 28 and continuing June 11, July 9, Aug. 13 and Sept. 17 from 4 to 10 p.m., Railtown Chefs and Co-owners Dan Olson and Tyler Day will roll out their custom-built, 12-foot barbecue barrel to serve up a mouthwatering selection of slow-smoked brisket and pork shoulder and beer-brined chicken and sausage along with a choice of made-from-scratch sides. Tickets are available for $19 per person plus tax, with a vegetarian option for $13 per person.

The Tailgate Barbecue menu includes:

35-hour Texas-style Beef Brisket
Applewood-smoked Pork Shoulder
Beer-brined Fraser Valley Chicken
D’Original Sausage Haus Brats
Tabatha’s Jalapeño Cornbread
Corn on the Cob

Plus, a choice of two side dishes:
Carolina Coleslaw
Creamy Potato Salad
Classic Caesar Salad
Farmers’ Market Field Greens

Barbecue enthusiasts can also quench their thirst with Railtown’s rotating selection of craft beers by local breweries such as Postmark, Driftwood, Red Truck and Strange Fellows as well as house-made Sangria and Lynchburg Lemonade, wines by the glass and bottle and happy hour specials on tap from 4 to 6 p.m.

“There’s no better place in the city to enjoy an authentic barbecue experience than at our streetside Tailgate events,” says Chef and Co-Owner Dan Olson. “We can’t wait to get the summer season started with the help of some of our good friends and neighbours here in Railtown.”

Railtown’s Tailgate Barbecue Series continues the weekend action for the destination cafe, which recently added Saturday service to its chef-driven lineup that showcases local and organic ingredients for an array of made-to-order sandwiches, soups and pastries and a build-your-own salad bar unlike anywhere else in the city.

TICKETS | Tickets for each of the Railtown Tailgate Barbecue Series events on May 28, June 11, July 9, Aug. 13 and Sept. 17 are available for $19 (meat-lovers) and $13 (vegetarian) plus tax and may be purchased online at www.railtowncafe.ca/events as well as onsite. All tickets purchased online in advance include a complimentary drink voucher (up to $6 value).
