Vancouver, BC | Today marks the first day of Spring at Shaughnessy Restaurant with bright new flavours for Lunch, Brunch, and Dinner. Lunch is open from 11:30am until 3pm Monday through Friday. New items include the Green Goddess Salad, loaded with nutritious vegetables, goat cheese, and finished with a basil goddess dressing. Mains include a Thai Curry Rice Bowl, not just for vegetarians. On Friday, be sure to take advantage of their weekly promotion for $17 Fish & Chips served with cabbage slaw. For only $2, add a Granville Island Lager or Pale Ale. Now that’s Happy Hour!

Brunch runs during the weekends from 11am until 3pm. Shaughnessy likes to keep things traditional by serving a Continental Kickstarter: vanilla yoghurt, house-made granola, seasonal fruit, berry compote, and a fresh croissant. If you’re feeling more adventurous, try the Banana Chocolate Brioche French Toast, drizzled with vanilla cream anglaise and toasted pecans. To celebrate the new season, Chef Sean Sloan took advantage of the great produce from their partners (Fresh Roots/Ocean Wise) to create sublime additions to the Dinner menu. To start, try the Spring Vegetable Minestrone, Greek Tomato Salad, or crisp Caeser Salad with prosciutto and fried capers. For mains, indulge in the Jalapeño and Bacon creamed corn paired with a decadent Pork Chop, or the Miso Citrus Sablefish.     Working with reputable local suppliers such as Fresh Roots Farms and Oceanwise, Shaughnessy uses fresh, organic, and seasonal ingredients to create an elegant West coast menu that tastes impeccable. Chef Sean Sloan incorporates his extensive background in Pacific Rim influences to create a menu focused on elevated comfort food.

    We cater to a variety of events throughout the year – wedding receptions, anniversaries, birthday, bar/bat Mitzvahs, family reunions, and corporate meetings. Exclusive restaurant bookings are available, and we can accommodate a variety of group sizes up to 200 people.

    We teamed up with several renowned interior designers including Wade King, to create an airy yet intimate ambiance and décor. The slate and wood floor is reclaimed from a 1910 Vancouver warehouse which adds old-world charm and warmth. Intimate booths line the back walls with a beautiful Rhododendron painting taking presence above. French doors provide the opportunity for a private group dining room while still maintaining the bright openness of the restaurant. White shingles on the walls, ample skylights, and potted plants bring the lush Botanical Garden indoors, while floor-to-ceiling sheer drape swaths add drama, elegance and intimacy to the room.
