The GOODS from Left Bank & Bistro Pastis
Vancouver, BC | John Blakeley’s two restaurants, Left Bank and Bistro Pastis, couldn’t be more different, but from March through August they’ll have something in common.
Beginning this month and running until August, Left Bank and Bistro Pastis will present a completely different take on the same theme ingredient. Four-course price fixe menus will be available at both restaurants along with feature sheet dishes for a 10 day period each month. First up from March 12 to 22: bivalves and shellfish.
Moving through the rest of the spring to summer calendar, April’s theme is “Forage”; naturally it’s Spot Prawns in May; June is Halibut month; the restaurants will toast the bounty of Okanagan stone fruits in July; and August is dedicated to tomatoes.
Left Bank is a new, casual eatery and bar in Vancouver’s West End offering a French menu “kissed by the colonies”. Bistro Pastis in Kitsilano has retained its relevance over 15 years as one of Vancouver’s favourite classic French bistros restaurants. Both are owned and operated by BC Restaurant Hall of Famer, John Blakeley.
