Chef Spencer Watts Now Plating Prix Fixe Of Classics At Kitsilano’s “Bistro Pastis”

Pastis-02

The GOODS from Bistro Pastis

Vancouver, BC | Award-winning restaurateur John Blakeley and his Bistro Pastis team invite you to slow down and enjoy the holiday season. In addition to group lunches and dinners, beginning today, and available throughout the holiday season (and beyond), Bistro Pastis is offering a new $45 three-course price fixe menu, featuring favoured French bistro classics, served in a warm ambient room, replete with cozy fireplace.

Naturally, the menu will change regularly to reflect market-fresh selections. Executive chef, Spencer Watts’ initial offering includes choices featuring herbed leeks, smoked herring, Provencal bouillabaisse, and crêpes Suzette.

Because no visit is complete without a nip of France’s national aperitif; Blakeley recommends beginning your evening with a glass of Pastis, selecting from one of the largest collections in North America.

Over 15 years, Bistro Pastis has retained its relevance as one of Vancouver’s favourite French restaurants. Specializing in classic bistro fare, perfectly executed and accompanied by an extensive wine list, guests at Bistro Pastis bask in the warmth of a cozy fireplace and gracious hospitality of Restaurant Hall of Famer, John Blakeley.

Bistro Pastis is open every day for lunch and dinner (except Mondays) and brunch on weekends. Find Bistro Pastis at 2153 West 4th Avenue in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighborhood, or online at BistroPastis.com.

Bistro Pastis is as close as you can get to Paris without a plane ticket. The menu features classic bistro fare (Coq au Vin, Bouillabaisse or Steak Frites for instance) served with a contemporary touch along with one of the finest by-the-glass wine lists in Vancouver. Add streams of natural light through the café windows to the warmth of a crackling fireplace in an intimate room presided over by a genuine French Maitre d’ and you have all the ingredients for a memorable meal.  If you’re in a hurry or just meeting a friend for a drink, Bistro Pastis also offers prime people-watching seats along its traditional front-room bar.
