The Goods from Bacchus
Vancouver, BC | This summer, guests are invited to summer at Bacchus, as the award-winning restaurant is set to launch several new seasonal menus and offerings on July 5, 2025, including its new Summer Afternoon Royal-Tea experience on weekends, and a Spritz Hour Tower in the lounge. Guests can make reservations now online at wedgewoodhotel.com.
In addition, Bacchus is hosting a Fascinator Competition in celebration of its Summer Afternoon Royal-Tea. Guests are invited to don their most stylish headpieces while enjoying tea service and share a photo on Instagram, tagging #wedgewoodafternoontea. One lucky winner will be selected at the end of the season to receive a gift certificate for Afternoon Tea for Two during Bacchus’ upcoming fall tea experience.
“Our Afternoon Tea service is one of our most popular at Bacchus, and we really wanted to give guests a chance to also experience it during the summer,” says Samson Iza-Fellows, pastry chef, Bacchus. “The team and I had a great time putting together the new menu, especially as we’re able to feature even more seasonal fruit, such as raspberries and cherries.”
The new Summer Afternoon Royal-Tea ($75 per person) is available starting July 5 until September 28, 2025, on Saturdays and Sundays. This Royal-Tea edition of Bacchus’s beloved tea service features fresh flavours and classics, including: baked scones with clotted cream and house-made preserves; finely cut sandwiches like Confit Albacore Tuna Tartelette with dill and capers and Deviled Egg with local trout caviar and chives; and an exquisite array of pastries and sweets from Iza-Fellows. Highlights include a Truffled Green Asparagus Quiche with feta; Bergamot Lemon Tarte, Chocolate & Cherry Profiteroles, and a Queen Victoria Sponge Roll with raspberries and vanilla buttercream. Guests may also enhance their tea experience with a selection of sparkling wines and Champagne.
Guests can choose from two seatings when booking the Wedgewood Summer Afternoon Tea – 2:30 p.m. or 3 p.m. Reservations are available via Tock.
For a different afternoon experience, Bacchus has introduced the new Spritz Hour Tower ($45) during its popular Cocktail Hour in the iconic lounge. The Spritz Hour Tower is a show-stopping trio of spritz cocktails served stacked and ready for sharing. The tower includes a classic Aperol Spritz, a Limoncello Spritz, and a Lavender Spritz made with Empress Gin.
“The Spritz Hour Tower is definitely a light and refreshing summer treat for our guests to enjoy in our lounge during cocktail hour,” adds Elpie Marinakis, co-owner and managing director of the Wedgewood Hotel & Spa. “Each spritz is unique in its own way and brings the kind of elegance that comes with the Bacchus experience. It’s a great, limited edition for the season.”
