Vancouver, BC | With the arrival of its first shipment of refillable “Growler” bottles, Dockside Restaurant & Brewing Company in the Granville Island Hotel is pleased to join the Growler revolution that’s taking place all across BC.

Starting immediately, craft beer lovers will be able to take Dockside’s signature brews home with them in one of two different reusable and resealable 2L bottles. The two style of bottle on offer are the classic ”Brown Jug” Growler with a twist-off top and a Deluxe Growler with a mechanical swing-top closure.

The Brown Jug Growlers will be sold for $10 and Swingtop Growlers for $20 and entitle the buyer to a discounted first fill for $10. Subsequent fills and fills for craft beer fans who want to bring their own Growler in will be available for the regular price of $14.

“We’ve been talking about Growlers for some time and we’re really excited to be launching them,” said Eugene Vassilev, Director of Food & Beverage Operations. “We’re proud of our brewing program and think it’s high time that our fans are able to take home signature brews like our Jamaican Lager, Railspur IPA and Johnson St. Pilsner to enjoy at home.”

Dockside Restaurant & Brewing Company recently welcomed Brewmaster Peter Haupenthal, who opened up the brewery over 10 years ago, back to oversee all brewing operations again. All his beers, including his signature Haupenthal Hefeweizen, are now pouring at Dockside. Dockside Growlers will also be available at Coal Harbour Liquor Store complete with a coupon for the first fill when they’re brought down to Dockside.

“This is our very favorite place. We drive into town from Delta and make an evening of browsing through Granville Isl. Market. The restaurnat is perfect for a quiet evening.View is wonderful. I appreciate the spacious arrangement of the tables. We have our favorite table, the staff and service is fabulous. I had the herb crusted Halibut – it was delicious and my husband enjoyed the slate fish. It was a memorable evening. We look forward to another visist very soon. As well, we have enjoyed the great patio – has to be one of Vancouver’s best.”
