The GOODS from The Biltmore Cabaret

Vancouver, BC | Tonight is East Van Soul Club; both a two-man DJ crew (SlimRoy and Jonny Was) and also a vinyl-only monthly dance party operated by these aforementioned soul obsessives. Sounds cover the spectrum of 60s soul regions and styles, blazing with Motown and Stax chart-toppers and raiding a decade full of criminally-unheard rarities with cuts out of New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and everywhere in-between. Tracks that you know will fuel the party, interspersed with floor-fillers you’ve never heard before but can’t possibly understand why not. Check out the event on Facebook for details on how to get 2-for-1 entry.

About The Biltmore

blights1

For over 50 years, the Biltmore has been a fixture in the community as both a public house for Vancouverites and a platform for groundbreaking musical performances.

With the revitalization of historic Mount Pleasant, the bar was reopened in 2007 as The Biltmore Cabaret, with a fresh focus to recapture its musical tradition. Drawing from the rich local scene in Vancouver as well as the best in Canadian and international touring acts, The Biltmore Cabaret showcases talent from across a wide spectrum of music and the arts.

We have a fantastic sound and lighting system at The Biltmore, check out our full tech specs here.
