Mamie Taylor’s Brews Up Something Special With Monkey 9

The GOODS from Mamie Taylor’s

Vancouver, BC | Chinatown’s Mamie Taylor’s restaurant has teamed up with Richmond, BC’s Monkey Nine Brewing and its Head Brewer, Travis Lang, to create a collaborative and seasonal house-label ale: Mamie Taylor’s Cold Tea Pale Ale.

Described as a mid-hop, slightly cloudy, American-style Pale Ale by Mamie Taylor’s bar manager, Scotty Marshall, Cold Tea was conceived as the perfect complement to Mamie’s regional American comfort-food menu.

The beer features caramel, wheat, and biscuit malt flavours. “First- and late-hop additions of Citra, Cascade and Centennial, as well as a dry hop with Citra give the Mamie’ Taylor’s Cold Tea Pale Ale a smooth, crushable style with enough hop notes to keep your palate interested,” says Monkey 9 Brewing General Manager Sean Hamilton. “We’ve made a great beer with great guys!”

At a reasonable 5.1% alcohol by volume, Mamie Taylor’s Cold Tea Pale Ale is perfect as a spring and summer sipper, whether on Mamie Taylor’s small and sun-filled street-front patio or while hiding out in the restaurant’s secluded back bar,” says Marshall.

Mamie Taylor’s Cold Tea Pale Ale will be available on tap for $8 a pint beginning Friday, May 6.
