The Goods from L’Abattoir
Vancouver, BC | North America’s 50 Best Bars returns to Vancouver from April 21–23, once again placing the city’s dynamic cocktail culture on an international stage. Anchored by the prestigious awards ceremony at the Vancouver Convention Centre on April 22, the multi-day program will feature a series of curated events, educational sessions, and celebrations highlighting the best in the industry.
In the days surrounding the awards, acclaimed bartenders from across the continent will take over some of the city’s top venues for a series of exclusive pop-ups and collaborations. Among them, L’Abattoir will play host to a standout lineup of talent, offering guests rare access to some of the industry’s most celebrated names.
Located in the heart of Gastown, the Michelin-recommended restaurant has spent more than 15 years earning a reputation for refined, French-inspired West Coast cuisine, an award-winning wine program, world-class cocktails, and exceptional hospitality.
“Welcoming guest bartenders at L’Abattoir during North America’s 50 Best Bars is about more than what’s in the glass,” says Alexa Gervais, Bar Manager of L’Abattoir. “It’s about the collision of talent, community, and creativity — and the kind of energy that only happens when all three come together!”
L’Abattoir is pleased to present the following trio of signature events.
Please note:
• The public events on April 21 and 22 are unticketed and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The April 20 event is for invited industry guests only.
• All events will be hosted exclusively in the restaurant’s bar area.

The lineup continues with Richie Millwater, formerly of Eleven Madison Park and Clemente Bar, bringing his experience to the highly anticipated Pearl Bar in New York, and Iain McPherson of Edinburgh’s Panda & Sons, one of the world’s most decorated bartenders, recognized with the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award (World’s 50 Best Bars 2024) and multiple 2025 Spirited Awards, including Best International Bar Team and World’s Best Cocktail Menu.
