NOV 2 – 28 | Wheat Canada
Wheat Canada is back! The original Scandinavian kids brand has garnered attention on the West Coast as the Vancouver Island Bouchard family imports stock direct from Denmark. This Fall Wheat brings kids clothes to Little Mountain Shop the design conscious pop-up space in Mount Pleasant. NOV 6 – 8 | Flaunt Fashion Library
What does social change through fashion look like? Kim Luu has spearheaded Flaunt Fashion Library, a subscription based clothing rental service that gives members access to a designer wardrobe. This is your opportunity to trick all your friends with top designer style (say when you turn up to this seasons Christmas parties?). NOV 12 – 15 | Collective Elements
Collective Elements, arrives soon as BC designers and makers unite through a passion for raw elements. HumanKind Candles (fire), Miiko Skin Co. (earth) and Kat Made Jewelry (metal) as well as other vendors working with wood, clay and textiles host an intimate boutique shop. Consider a little something special for a loved one, the self (do not feel badly) or the home. Vendors will be making a generous donation to local charities of choice, for Christmassy good measure. NOV 16 – 22 | Vancity Shop
Vancity Shop marks the official kickoff of the e-commerce site launching soon by local news channel Vancity Buzz. The pop-up inaugurates the new online platform for BC based designers to present their work to new audiences. Welcome Collective Howl with the arrival of the Christmas season. These BC based makers are stocking jewelry, ceramics, textiles, photographs and paintings. They’ve got a shared love for our land that rests at the core of their collective values. Founded in 2012, thisopenspace began as a pop-up retail space in Vancouver’s Chinatown. Since then, hundreds of designers, brands, and artists have trusted thisopenspace to help them find short-term space, tell their story, and grow their ideas. With an expanding community across Vancouver, New-York, Toronto, and with new cities being added, thisopenspace is quickly becoming the trusted platform to list, discover, and rent unique short-term spaces for any occasion.
