Vancouver Would Be Cooler If It Had Terraformed Grass Armchairs In Its Parks

(via) Lying down in the summer grass is one of those things that doesn’t cost a dime and yet we value it to a depth we can’t even see. Sitting in the grass is the next best thing, so we think Italian design collective Nucleo is really on to something cool with its Terra chair. It begins with a basic, easy-to-right cardboard frame. It’s then filled with soil and seeded, given a water dose and left to its natural devices. The result? A grass armchair. The project has only just launched its fundraising campaign on Kickstarter, and we’re hoping the Vancouver Parks Board takes note.
