The GOODS from Much & Little

Vancouver, BC | After 2 1/2 years in business, Much&Little is proud to announce the recent expansion of their location at 2541 Main Street. An intimate shop specializing in timeless, hand-crafted goods and accessories, it is now double the size with half the space dedicated entirely to women’s clothing. Consistent with the store’s original concept to support independent businesses, clothing is also sourced from emerging or indie designers and is mostly North American-made. Many of the labels are not available anywhere else in the city such as art school-influenced Feral Childe, vintage-inspired Lauren Moffatt, and the minimal and edgy Black Crane.

The refurbished section of the shop takes over the former space of Whoa! Nellie Bikes. Although joined, the spaces have a distinct ambience. The original side focuses on home goods, accessories and gifts. The new side, with its cosy cabin feel, showcases clothing. Change rooms and store fixtures are made with reclaimed wood, while the floor and walls are adorned with vintage kilim rugs, most of which are for sale.

Owner, Sarah Savoy, had this to say, “The opportunity to expand came about quite unexpectedly late last year and I knew the space would get snatched up if I didn’t take it. The shop was already getting too small for itself, so the timing was actually perfect. We’re very excited about the designers we stock – it’s a mix of quirky meets classic. We’ve actually always carried some clothing, but the space wasn’t big enough to grow the inventory or merchandise it properly so customers haven’t considered us a fashion destination. With this new space I think that will change.”

About Much & Little

Much&Little opened its doors in October 2011. It grew from a desire to create a personal shopping experience that offers timeless, beautiful, well-made goods for everyday use. Each item has been hand picked not just for aesthetics and function, but also for the story behind it that creates lasting value. Where was it made, how and by whom? As much as possible, we seek out products that have been created with love and care, with attention to detail and craft.

Though the shop is modest in size, the selection is wide and encompasses everything from housewares, to personal accessories, to women’s clothing. Our goods come from all over – including local, independent designers, heritage brands and fair trade artisans.

For you, we hope this translates into something of value. Where items are of heirloom quality and timeless appeal. Where a seemingly humble object will be something you love to pick up and use each day, and the patina of use just makes it better.
