Livable | Myth | The city of Vancouver is consistently voted or otherwise lauded as one of the most “livable cities” in the world by people who don’t live here and have no idea how difficult it is to find (not to mention afford) a place to…you know…actually live in. The meaningless term is a running joke among residents but – oddly – catnip to local mainstream media outlets craving external pats on the head.

Usage: “I can’t afford to buy food but at least we’re one of the world’s most livable cities…”
