Gwai Lo | Slang | If you’ve ever heard the term gwai lo in your presence before, you might be a white guy. It’s a Cantonese term – still heard in Chinatown on occasion – that translates as “ghost person”. It’s not particularly kind. No matter, however, as it’s being expropriated by young white dudes, like blogger Richard Eriksson.
