The Goods from Pidgin
Vancouver, BC | Autumn is in full swing and PiDGiN is reflecting the shift in season with new local art on the walls and an influx of new flavours on our Fall ’24 Tasting Menu.
Caroline Weaver is a self taught oil painter that has been working and showing in and around the Americas for the past decade plus. Exhibiting in cities and spots a long the way, such as Portland, Calgary, San Luis Potosi, San Francisco, Vancouver, LA, Montreal, Baja, Melbourne, Atlanta and Philadelphia and on and on. Countries, regions, cities, towns, neighborhoods all taking turns to colour her work. Currently residing in Halfmoon Bay British Columbia, she is working to analyze our arcs of actuality with teenage trash, forest shrapnel and Ultra Violet light.
The collection now on display at PiDGiN is called STRIP POKER, and is a deviant expansion of the ongoing PNW Forest Floor/Convenience Store Aesthetic that Weaver is still exploring.
Our art program is core to our philosophy and passions at PiDGiN. Some of our past artist-in-restaurant programs have included Ola Volo, Sean Karemaker, Priscilla Yu, Jay Senetchko, Katie So, Johny Taylor, Kari Kristensen, and most recently, Tara Lee Bennett and Crissy Arseneau.
