The GOODS from Odd Society Spirits

Vancouver, BC | In partnership with Rough & Tumble, Odd Society Spirits presents Odd Talks the last Monday of every month. With the intention of sparking spirited conversation, and camaraderie amongst those who live and work in East Van and the surrounding communities, Odd Talks is a series of inspiring educational talks paired with elevated cocktails. Drinks are prepared by some of Vancouver’s finest bartenders and topics range from distillation to honey terroir, to the science of the hangover. Building on previous success, the team at Rough & Tumble have curated an evening for the curious-minded that is a foray into the weird and wonderful.

The fifth edition of Odd Talks takes place at Odd Society Spirits (1725 Powell St.) onMonday, September 30 welcoming captivating storyteller, Glenn Tkach of the highly regarded Forbidden Vancouver: Really Gay History Tour. Glenn will make you laugh, cry and laugh some more as he reveals our city’s dark history and the bravery of our community’s unsung LGBTQ2+ heroes that ultimately lead to the vibrant inclusive society we now celebrate with pride. While Glenn fascinates us with his incredibly engaging and true stories, Rough & Tumble, along with guest bartender Robyn Gray of Prohibition, will tempt us with their delicious cocktails. No tickets required and space is limited—doors at 7pm, speakers at 8pm.
